Although I was born and raised in Arkansas, I have been a resident of Fort Worth, Texas for the past 40 years. After graduating from college with a BS in mathematics, I served in the Air Force for 4 years. In 1972, I was assigned to <span class=SpellE>Carswell</span> AFB, which is probably the best thing that ever happened to me. While stationed here, I met my wife, the former Ann Roach, a TCU graduate. We were married at Robert Carr Chapel on the TCU campus in 1974. As my wife said, it was the marriage of a HOG and a FROG! </span></p> <p><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>After separating from the Air Force in 1975, I entered the insurance business. I focused most of my attention on life insurance for the first 20 years or so. After qualifying for several trips to Hawaii and Florida, in 1995 I changed my focus more to health <span class=GramE>insurance .</span> Since then I have enjoyed marketing and serving the Fort Worth <span class=SpellE>Metroplex</span> area with group and individual health insurance products. </span></p> <p><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>All of the years of living in <span class=SpellE>Cowtown</span> must have had an effect on me, because several years ago I started wearing a Stetson everywhere I go. You can usually spot me at any Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce event, because I always have on my western hat. I changed the name of my business to <span class=SpellE>Cowtown</span> Insurance Service in 2000 and incorporated in 2003. I have also been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) since 1978.<br> <br> I feel very fortunate to be living in Fort Worth. Our economy is booming. We have so much to offer everyone, and best of all, this has got to be the friendliest city in Texas! </span></p> <p><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>I am proud to say I am a member of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. I am currently serving as an Action Ambassador. I have been awarded Action Ambassador of the month twice, and in 2003, I was fortunate to win Action Ambassador of The Year. Again, in 2009 I was privileged to receive the Action Ambassador of the Year honor. I am also a former Vice-Chairman. </span></p> <p><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Ann and I have been married for 38 years and have been living in the same house in west Fort Worth for 36 years. Although we have no children we have a very spoiled cocker spaniel named Jazz.
